Gay Rights

I am 53, life long Republican. As the mother of a gay son I have become initially disenchanted and then ENRAGED at the far right who has hijacked the party and tried unceasingly to press their religious convictions on not only the party but the world. Their unrepentant loathing for Gays and Lesbians makes my skin crawl.

Barack Obama had me the first time I heard him speak and in the ROUSING closing he included gay rights. My Republican husband is most bemused at my support. As is my community :O)

PS: My son is supporting BO in D.C. as well
