Inspired and Proud

I care about the Obama campaign because this is the first time a nominee has ever made me feel inspired and proud to be from the United States. I’m an avid traveler and I always get this awkward sensation when I travel about hiding the fact that I am an American citizen. If Obama were to become president, I would no longer have that feeling. I would be able to freely, and gladly, state that I am American and I would be proud to say that. I feel that Obama has a great set of morals and ideals and truly wants to change America for the better. Holding talks with world leaders, however ‘bad’ they may be, IS the only way to make a better future for us and for the world and create actual change and forgiveness. Obama is the only candidate that sees that. I vote for Obama because he cares not only about the people he serves but also for citizens of the entire world, he actively works for change in our country and abroad and he makes me proud to be a citizen of the United States of America.

I could have written your post. I long for the day when I can again proudly hold my US passport and exclaim that I am from the greatest country in the world with the greatest leader!
